The conceptualization of this haven started with my passion for the beauty of nature. Initially, it was a mere weekend respite for family and friends and a trainig facility for the townsfolk of Calatagan, Batangas in the food and restaurant industry.
Inspired by the opportunities the resort has to offer and as prodded by friends and relatives, Golden Sunset opened its doors to the public just this January 2006.

Butterflies are a group of specialized, day flying lepidoptera. Generally, they can be recognized by their bright colours and clubbed antennae but also by the way they rest, with wings held together over the back. In butterflies, the base of the hind wing is expanded and strengthen, supporting and coupling wih the forewing when in flight. This butterfly from the family nymphalid is seen here resting in the typical butterfly posture, with its wing held together above is back.
